i feel in arranged marriages both sides make the marriage work anyhow. it is a practical thing. love is developed after the marriage and lasts.
in love marriages, they have different expectations of what they want out of getting married n when they don't get it then they fall apart.
in the past i didn't like this idea of arranged marriage and cannot accept it. but now i think is a gd idea if both parties have similar values and work towards a common goal. i think this system only works in societies that r dharmic n spiritual. in western culture, they r too egotistical to accept arrange marriages.
